A horse could take you to Fairyhouse, could take you to Down Royal, could even take you to Punchestown.

A horse could take you to the promised land.

Most people consider owning a racehorse as nothing more than a dream. You know the one, the one that lights up your mind every now and again and in it, your horse rounds the Punchestown bend in front and then storms up the straight to the sound of a rapturous crowd. Giddy celebrations, good times.

Sole ownership may be a big investment but these days, that dream can become a reality. Thanks to syndicate and clubs ownership, you don’t have to miss out on the thrill of racehorse ownership.

The risk is reduced and the reward is just as enjoyable.

Racing clubs are an affordable, accessible gateway to your Fantasy World. It’s a set-up where you can join a racing club of your choice – you can sign up with trainers like Willie Mullins, Johnny Murtagh etc. – along with a group of your kindred spirits for a price that ranges from €60 per month to €400 per year.

Below we have listed the various clubs and fees involved.

  • Blackrock Racing – From €600 annually,  for 1%
  • Blueblood Racing Club – €68 per month
  • Closutton Racing Club – €120 per month
  • Horse Racing Buddy Club – €50 per month or €500 annually
  • I.N.S Racing – A range of shares available
  • Kildare Racing club – A range of shares available, starting from 5%

Club membership entitles you to all the usual trimmings. Yard visits go with the territory as do updates from the trainer on your horse(s) race plans and training progress. Subject to Covid restrictions, attending racedays as an owner and meeting your fellow team mates will also be a part of the membership experience

With Christmas coming as fast upon us as Istabraq would spring a hurdle, this could be the ideal treat for yourself or indeed, for the racing lover in your life. Discover all the racing clubs and hear from the club managers at Horse Racing Ireland Ownership website here.

Maybe you’ll watch your lad bolt up at a leading racing festival yet.
