It was the day of days for Tipperary football.
Tipperary may be better known as a hurling stronghold but the Premier County’s footballers caused a major stir on Sunday with a resounding All-Ireland quarter-final win over Galway.
Liam Kearns’ side showed remarkable skill and poise throughout the game to see off the Tribesmen 3-13 to 1-10, and will now play their first All-Ireland football semi-final since 1935 against either Mayo or Tyrone.
1935. 81 years. Remarkable.
Needless to say, people will be talking about this long into the night and if you’re watching The Sunday Game tonight then be sure to keep an eye for the point of the Championship so far from Robbie Kiely.

Tipperary's last Munster title was in 1935 but now just 70 minutes from All-Ireland final. Great stuff.
