A report today says that the Ireland No 10 will be back in Leinster blue for the start of the 2015-16 season.

It seems the rumours are true. After he finishes his current two-year-deal with racing Metro next summer, Johnny Sexton will return to Leinster, putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with the province and the IRFU.

That is what is reported this morning in the Irish Independent, confirming the suggestion swirling around for the last few weeks that the Irish international would return home.

The report says that Sexton had an option of an extra year with Racing, and an offer from Toulon, but he turned them down to go back to his old team.

The news is obviously great for Leinster fans and, as he will be back under an IRFU contract before the World Cup, it is good news for Ireland fans too.

As Sexton told us when we spoke to him last week, he is a homebird, and that is probably at the heart of his decision.
