You have to take each report on its merits.

TV3's football coverage has certainly diversified in recent months with the appearance of Kevin Kilbane and Luis Garcia but the broadcaster might be adding a face that's more familiar to Irish viewers. You may remember a few weeks ago when we brought you the news that John Giles was being phased out of RTE's coverage but the Leeds United icon might be back on the box sooner than you think. The Mirror claim a spokeswoman for TV3 remained coy on the issue saying 'as you would have seen, we are always bringing new talent into the mix, recently Gaizka Mendieta and Luis Garcia, so you never know.' While we're always slightly wary of believing rumours, we still dream of seeing a John Giles/ Brian Kerr dream team. Tommy Martin would have his hands full.
