Like other Irish golfers, McIlroy didn't play at the Rio Olympics after citing concerns over his health due to the Zika virus.
Pat Hickey, President of the Olympic Council of Ireland (OCI), who was arrested in Rio this morning, once said on The Seán O’Rourke Show that there was “no money in a gold medal” and that this influenced McIlroy's decision.
