Last night was the worst possible timing for this brilliant idea…
We’ve all seen this in Twitter before when a team or media company ask people to get interactive with players or shows by using a certain hashtag and then they put the comments to the arranged recipient. RTE decided to be all cool last night and invited viewers to ask their panelists, Kenny Cunningham and Eamon Dunphy, questions about the World Cup. The hashtag – #AskThePanel.
What RTE hadn’t allowed for last night was Eamon thinking they were off the air and cursing live on national television.
