Having started on the 10th, he mixed a pair of birdies with bogeys on the 15th and 16th before responding with birdies at the 17th, the first and the sixth.

At the top of the leaderboard, American Beau Hossler set the pace with a nine-under-par 61, one clear of Sahith Theegala and Ben James on eight under, RTÉ Sport noted.
