Shamrock Rovers perfectly troll Michelle Mulherin and every other ticket-hungry politician

Paul Moore

Love this.

The biggest prize in Gaelic football is still up for grabs as Mayo and Dublin do battle once again but Sam Maguire isn’t the only Irish sporting accolade that’s yet to be decided.

Dundalk lead the Airtricity League by 5 points but Cork City have a game in hand over Stephen Kenny’s men. The Lillywhites were held by Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park last night as Brian Gartland’s second-half goal cancelled out Gary Shaw’s opener for the Hoops.

Stephen Bradley’s side are still very much in contention for a Europa League place and they’ve got a big match against Galway United this Friday.

Unlike Michael D Higgins who is an avid League of Ireland supporter a regular attendee at LOI matches all over the country, it’s highly unlikely that Fine Gael Senator Michelle Mulherin will be making an appearance at Tallaght Stadium to watch the upcoming match between Rovers and Galway United.

Mulherin  and Catherine Noone made headlines last week after reminding those featherheads in the GAA that they felt discriminated against for All-Ireland tickets.

Fair play to the Shamrock Rovers social media team though because they’re doing their very best to prevent such an unspeakable wrong from ever befalling our precious TD’s.
