This just isn’t cricket.
Sky were forced to apologise after former England captain Andrew Strauss was overheard calling Kevin Pietersen a c**t during their cricket coverage.
Strauss was on commentary duty while Pietersen played for a Rest of the World XI against MCC in a Lord’s bicententary showpiece.
While nothing was heard on the television broadcast, overseas listeners on an audio application heard Strauss say some very unkind things about his former team-mate.
Sky issued an apology through its Sky Sports Cricket platform: “Earlier comments were made during a break of play which were heard overseas. We apologise for the language used.”
Piers Morgan, a close friend of Pietersen’s, was not impressed.
If Strauss story is true then he’ll have to be fired, surely? Or is a commentator calling @KP24 a ‘c**t’ on air acceptable @SkyCricket ?

Strauss and Pietersen have plenty of previous, with the latter dropped by England in 2012 for sending messages – thought to be highly critical of Strauss – to the South African touring squad.
