Sky’s GAA coverage is off to a dodgy start as they get the score of the Louth match wrong

With their presenters already taking dog's abuse for mispronouncing Irish names, Sky should really make sure they do the simple things properly.

With their presenters already taking dog’s abuse for mispronouncing Irish names, Sky should really make sure they do the simple things properly.

Despite hiring in a team of crack scienticians to figure out the scoring in a GAA match, Sky were left with egg on their faces as they claimed Louth had beaten Westmeath by four points in the first round of the Leinster Championship.

In fact, the Wee County had triumphed 1-14 to 1-09, a five-points difference, and it was very quickly pointed out to the broadcasters.

“Cheers folks, it was of course a five-point win for @louthgaa in Mullingar this evening,” they tweeted afterwards.

It does, of course, put us in mind of this.

Hat-tip to Hogan Stand for this one.
