All your weekend’s sport on the box, in one handy place.

Saturday

Pre-season friendly, Melbourne v Manchester City, Sky Sports 1, 7.55am

Judging how a team is going to perform in an upcoming campaign based on their performances in pre-season has proved dodgy in the past, but you can be sure loads of us will fall into that trap again this year.

Man City take on Melbourne on Australia’s Gold Coast and you can catch it all on Sky Sports 1 if you’re up early enough.

The Open Championship, BBC One, 10am

It’s moving day at St Andrews, where weather conditions could play a major role in determining who’s set up nicely for a shot at the title on Sunday.

The Beeb’s coverage of the tournament will come to an end next year so you might as well make the most of Ken Brown, Peter Alliss and company while you can.

Live Rugby Championship, Australia v South Africa, 10.30am

While Ireland and the other northern hemisphere countries prepare in camp, the big guns Down Under are gearing up for the Rugby World Cup with some highly competitive, high-stakes rugby a couple of months before the big event.

If this one goes anything like the Wallabies’ 24-23 victory over the Springboks in Perth, then it should be a cracker.

The Ashes Live, Sky Sports Ashes, 10.30am

Day Three of the second test at Lord’s and if you’re into it you better get comfy because coverage lasts for a good seven and a half hours on Sky’s dedicated channel.

Tour de France Live, TG4, 1.10pm

We’re onto stage 14 of one of the most gruelling sports events on the planet and it’s not getting any easier for the participants, who today face into a 178km trek from Rodez to Mende.

2015 Barclays Premier League Trophy Final, Arsenal v Everton, Sky Sports 1, 1.30pm

Again, we wouldn’t go reading too much into the effect their performances in Singapore will have on the new season, but it will be interesting to see how their new signings are adapting to their new surroundings.

during the Barclays Asia Trophy match between Arsenal and Singapore Select XI at National Stadium on July 15, 2015 in Singapore.

That game is preceded by a Singapore Select XI taking on Stoke. Coverage starts on the same channel at 10.45am.

All-Ireland Football Qualifiers, Tipperary v Tyrone, Galway v Derry, Sky Sports 5, 2.30pm

Tipperary and Galway have home advantage against Ulster opposition in two very interesting looking qualifier ties, which will leave the winners only one win away from a place in the last eight.

Former Mayo manager James Horan is an interesting addition to the Sky panel and will join Senan Connell and Peter Canavan on analysis.

Munster Final Replay, Kerry v Cork, RTE 2, 6.15pm

The big two in Munster meet again after a thrilling draw in Killarney a fortnight ago.

Ongoing renovations at Páirc Uí Chaoimh mean that the Rebels must return there again to try and finish a job they really should have finished the first day out, but a Kerry side featuring four changes from the last day is likely to be a completely different animal this time around.

MLS: LA Galaxy v San Jose Earthquakes, Sky Sports 5, 7pm

Another chance to see how Robbie and Stevie G are getting on in LA Galaxy colours. If Robbie can produce another first touch like this then we’ll all be very, very happy.

Scott Quigg’s bout with Bernard Dunne’s old friend Kiko Martinez is the main focus of attention tonight.

There will be plenty of interest in Anthony Crolla’s return to the ring after a long injury absence arising from him being hit on the head with a concrete slab by burglars outside his home.

Real Madrid v Roma, Midnight

A decent encounter for those of you who haven’t got enough of a sporting fix from what’s gone before on Saturday. Rafa, Ramos and of course, Ronaldo, there’s plenty of storylines to keep us interested.
