Not quite the fairytale season.
Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard won’t be adding another medal to their trophy cabinets after the LA Galaxy relinquished their league title following a 3-2 defeat to the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup Playoffs.
Neither Keane or Gerrard were on the scoresheet last night as the Sounders advance to the Western Conference semi-finals and a match against either FC Dallas or Vancouver Whitecaps.
It seems that Twitter was quick to remind the Liverpool legend that he’s yet to lift a domestic title following 17 years at Anfield and his debut season in LA.
I’m pretty confident that Gerrard couldn’t give a s**t about these comments and would happily point to his 2 FA Cups, 3 League Cups, 2 Super Cups, UEFA Cup, Champions League and endless personal accolades, but Twitter didn’t miss a chance to rub salt into his wounds.

Whoever decided that Steven Gerrard isn't allowed to win a domestic league title really should have told him up front.

Thankfully the voice of reason prevails.
Steven Gerrard is going to read MLS snobs mean tweets and then remind himself he won the Champions League for Liverpool
