The bearded Tipperary minor footballer is doing something very special to help charity

What a sound gesture

What a sound gesture.

You may remember a few days ago when we brought you the story about Aidan Buckley, a minor Tipperary footballer that’s 50% beard and 50% talent.

We’re kidding of course, Aidan’s talent played a key role last week as the Premier County overcame Kildare in their semi-final to book a meeting with Kerry at Croker on September 20th.

We’ve already stated that Buckley is the most gloriously bearded 18-year-old that we’ve seen in a long time but he’s also an incredibly sound lad because he’s decided to shave off the beard in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

Aidan has previously stated that he would only shave his glorious beard if Tipp were knocked out but it seems that he has now gone one better as you can see here.

Fair play to all involved.

Hat-Tip to JOE reader Katie Power for sending this in.
