The Irish team for the Six Nations match against France has been named

Some very welcome players make their return

Some very welcome players make their return.

Ireland will be looking to build on a solid opening day win against Italy this weekend as Philippe Saint-André’s French team visit Dublin.

As expected, Joe Schmidt has made changes with Johnny Sexton, Sean O’Brien and Jamie Heaslip all coming back into the side.

Fellow Lion Cian Healy is only fit enough to take his place amongst the substitutes, but we have a feeling that ‘Church’ will have a role to play this weekend.

This match against Les Blues will be Sexton’s first match of any kind since Ireland beat Australia in the Autumn Internationals after being advised to rest following repeated concussions.

Ian Keatley isn’t included in the match-day panel.

Here’s the team in full.

France named their side yesterday with only one change, Racing Metro’s Eddy Ben Arous coming in to play at loosehead prop in the absence of the injured Alexandre Menini.
