The JOE Football Podcast – Ireland welcomes MonKeano, FAI Cup Final madness and Gunners greatness continues

Luis Suarez hits form as Arsenal await this weekend, but is either side able to take the momentum into this top of the table clash?

The lads discuss the incredibly exciting appointment of Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane, a crazy FAI Cup Final and an Arsenal run of form that shows no stopping at the moment.

In a poll we conducted on the site earlier this week, 90 per cent of voters insisted that the MonKeano managerial ticket did indeed justify the rather lofty levels of hype that has gone with it, so it’s fair to say that Irish fans are excited about what the future might bring under two giants of Irish football. Really excited.

The inclination of most people to focus on Keane ahead of O’Neill so far and Roy’s ability to function as a number two are just a taste of what is up for discussion in this week’s football podcast as host Adrian Collins is joined by Sean Nolan and Conor Heneghan to chew the fat over all the goings-on on Planet Football at the moment.

The lads also look back at what was a truly sensational FAI Cup Final, discuss what has already been a great week for Arsenal and the possibility of it getting even better if they beat Manchester United on Sunday, while also reviewing all the week’s Champions League action and looking ahead to the big games in the Premier League this weekend.

P.S. Forgive the exceptionally long intro this week, die-hard football hipster Adrian got a bit carried away with the sound of foreign football commentary and couldn’t help himself. We promise it will be shorter from next week on.
