The JOE v Ladbrokes Football Accumulator Challenge: Week 11

Both Hayley O'Connor of Ladbrokes and our good selves landed decent wins to close out 2013. Let's hope we can keep it going this weekend.

JOE

Both Hayley O’Connor of Ladbrokes and our good selves landed decent wins to close out 2013. Let’s hope we can keep it going this weekend.

It was a slow start but at last we are starting to see some money in the bank. Ladbrokes’ own Hayley O’Connor had another good week, as Manchester United, Manchester City and Everton delivered an extra €300 to her kitty a fortnight ago.

We did even better, as City, Hull and Spurs did the business, netting us €350. We’re still trailing overall, but we have a good feeling this weekend. It might be indigestion though…

Here’s Hayley’s picks for Week 11:

Chelsea to beat Hull, 8/13

Hull are more than decent at home but I reckon Jose’s mob can get one over on Steve Bruce’s side

Manchester United to beat Swansea, 8/15

Surely David Moyes can’t lose a fourth game in a row, especially at home to last week’s FA Cup’s conquerors Swansea, right?

Liverpool to beat Stoke, 4/6

That man Luis Suarez is overdue. With just one goal in his last four, I think he is set to punish Stoke on Sunday

All in all, that treble comes in at odds of a little over 4/1 and after back-to-back wins, we’d listen to Hayley if we were you.

And here’s JOE’s picks:

Cardiff to beat West Ham, 10/11

West Ham are sorrier than Chris Smalling this week and there is no way they are recovering to beat Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s newly inspired Cardiff side.

Everton to beat Norwich, 2/5

The Toffees have suffered just one defeat in their last 12, a rather random 1-0 loss to Sunderland while Norwich are pretty dire on their travels. Looks nailed on to be a home win.

Arsenal to beat Aston Villa, 4/7

After a long eight-day rest, the Gunners should be well up for this Monday night clash. Villa, with just one goal in their last four home games, shouldn’t be able to keep pace.

That treble comes in at odds of a little over 4/1 and should put us back on top of the win-o-meter if all goes to plan.

We’ll know for sure next week so check back then for an update, when JOE will hopefully have ensured that Hayley doesn’t get too far ahead as we get 2014 under way.
