JOE

Hayley O’Connor takes on the might of the JOE sports team each week in a Premier League betting challenge. It’s been quiet so far but we expect all that to change this week. Honestly

In case you hadn’t noticed, picking winners in the Premier League is hard. So far the might of Ladbrokes punting guru Hayley O’Connor and the JOE sports team have combined to land zero Euro from four accumulators so far.

Last week, Hayley had just one of her three forecasts land, the hardly that difficult to predict Arsenal to beat Palace bet. Joe Hart ensured that Chelsea and Man City didn’t end in a predicted draw while Newcastle went down to the might of Sunderland.

We fared slightly better, picking Arsenal (naturally), Southampton to beat Fulham and it was our faith in Manchester City that did us down from collecting a sweet €650. So, with renewed hope in our hearts for our €100 accumulator bet, and with a mind full of spite for Hayley’s selections, here they are.

Here’s Hayley’s picks for Week 3:

Chelsea to beat Newcastle, 3/5

The Blue machine is rolling, and should roll over the Magpies at St James’ Park.

Man United to beat Fulham, 8/13

Another away pick but Fulham are just not up to defending their patch against United.

Man City to beat Norwich, 1/5 Joe Hart or no Joe Hart, City have to win this banker of the weekend.

That treble comes in at just over 3/1, so for Hayley’s €100 bet, a potential €300 return awaits.

And here’s JOE’s picks: Chelsea to beat Newcastle, 3/5

Like our gambling foe, we reckon this one is a handy win for Jose’s men.

West Brom to beat Crystal Palace, 3/5

We’d back the all-priest over-75s five-a-side against Palace these days.

Everton and Tottenham to draw, 23/10

We don’t think there is much between these two sides and with Spurs tight at the back, and not scoring too many, this could be a Sunday stalemate.

With this treble worth a juicy 17/2, JOE is set to take the lead if this one lands. Which it will. Sorry Hayley.

We’ll know for sure next week so check back then for an update, when the win-o-meter surely won’t look so bare… Ladbrokes_Win-o-meter_v1a LadbrokesLogo
