The JOE v Ladbrokes Football Accumulator Challenge: Week 7

Hayley O’Connor takes on the might of the JOE sports team each week in a Premier League betting challenge. We're dearly hoping the international break has helped us find some form.

JOE

Hayley O’Connor takes on the might of the JOE sports team each week in a Premier League betting challenge. Lucky number 7, eh…

Would you believe us if we told you that we picked loads of winners in the midweek round of Premier League games? No, we wouldn’t either but we promise you we did so we hope we can carry that top punting form into this weekend.

Dare we say it but it looks an ‘easier’ week than normal with what looks like quite a few clear cut games up for decision. Our noble foe Hayley has dived on some of the more one-sided looking games while we have thrown in a cheeky draw to boost our odds. We genuinely like the look of both of these accumulators this week, so hopefully the tragically underused win-o-meter will be employed come Monday.

Here’s Hayley’s picks for Week 7:

Liverpool to beat West Ham, 3/10

After what that man Luis Suarez did on Wednesday night, you have to back the Reds for the home win.

Man City to beat Southampton, 3/4

Worse on the road than a 1972 Datsun Cherry, we reckon City may have shaken those ills, and I reckon they will do the Saints at St Mary’s

Chelsea to beat Stoke, 8/13

Not exactly models of consistency but I fancy the Blues to have enough to see of Sparky’s lot.

That all adds up to a safety first 7/2, but we need a win and this is the trio to do it.

And here’s JOE’s picks:

Manchester United to beat Newcastle, 8/15

Last season this would have been a banker at Old Trafford but even with all the problems David Moyes is having, we reckon they will see off the Magpies.

Crystal Palace and Cardiff to draw

Palace have really tightened up at the back lately and Cardiff are none-too-potent away from home. Should be a draw so.

Liverpool to beat West Ham, 3/10

Like our rival, we simply can’t see how Liverpool lose to a toothless West Ham

Our bet is a juicier 6/1, so a win will put us on top no matter what Hayley does…

We’ll know for sure next week so check back then for an update, when the win-o-meter hopefully won’t look so empty… Ladbrokes_Win-o-meter_v1a LadbrokesLogo
