The Reds striker is now ruled out until the New Year but sadly this is recurring news for Liverpool fans…

To say that Liverpool haven’t matched the brilliant standards that they set last season in the current Premier League would be a huge understatement.

The Reds trail league leaders Chelsea by 15 points as the club seem to be leaking goals while failing to score them in the other end.

The absence of their key-striker Daniel Sturridge hasn’t helped things though and his injury stats are really interesting.

The England player now averages an injury every four matches at Liverpool and has suffered 13 different injuries since signing for the Reds 21 months ago.
Having looked at this graph below, provided by Physio Room, do we now put him in the Diaby, Walcott, Van Persie bracket? Probably not but it doesn’t make for good reading.

Don’t worry Reds fans because you still have Ricky Lambert though. *Cough, cough*. Maybe Man Utd can loan you a striker, they have a fully fit squad right?

Take a look at this graphic and bear in mind that it doesn’t even take into account the knocks he suffered on international duty.
