Tommy Bowe signs on with Ireland and Ulster for three more years

TOMMY GOOOO… ing nowhere.

It has been announced this morning that Tommy Bowe has penned a new contract with the IRFU to keep him in Ireland for a further three years. The news comes on the back of Rob Kearney’s commitment to stay in Ireland for the same duration. The new deals will keep the pair in Ireland until June 2018.

It will be a welcome boost to the Irish squad’s morale this week as they prepare to take on Georgia on Sunday after last weekend’s stunning upset victory over the Springboks in the Aviva Stadium. We will face the Aussies the week after where we will seek to avenge last year’s disappointing loss.

Can things be going much better for the international team at the moment? Six Nations champions, a successful tour of Argentina in the summer, a fantastic win against the number two seeds in the world, Johnny Sexton being nominated for IRB Player of the Year, Rob Kearney signing a new contract and now securing Ulster’s flying winger on a long-term contract. We have every reason to be positive…
