Tommy Robredo sticks two fingers up to Andy Murray after Valencia Open defeat

Given the circumstances, he was quite justified.

Given the circumstances, he was quite justified.

Tommy Robredo, absolutely knackered and almost falling over the net, sticks two fingers up to Andy Murray after losing the Valencia Open Final to the Scotsman.

The reason for Robredo’s reaction? He’d had five match points throughout the final and failed to take any of them, as Murray won 3-6 7-6 (9-7) 7-6 (10-8).

Yep. We’d be well pissed off too, but the pair’s embrace at the end speaks volumes for Murray, who just wanted to comfort his opponent.

Proper sportsmanship.
