There was some atmosphere at the game…
To say it was a back and forth game would be doing the contest a dramatic disservice as the game lived up to all billing.
Man City dominated the opening exchanges and were full value for their two nil lead after 36 minutes, before Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulled one back for United two minutes from the break.
United were the brighter team after the break as they pushed for an equaliser, but as the game opened up, it was City who looked the more likely to add to their one goal cushion.
The game finished 2-1 to City as Pep Guardiola continued his great record over Jose Mourinho.

Bravo’s howler gave United a lifeline…
.@ManCity too quick for @ManUtd in the 1st half. A lifeline from #Bravo howler. A penny for Joe Hart's thoughts right now! #MUFCvsMCFC

Bravo and Stones are some double act. Equally as dodgy but you'll only hear about Bravo on Sky. #ManchesterDerby

Rubbish goalkeeping but what a finish by Zlatan, making #MUFCvsMCFC interesting in 2nd half for neutrals. City 3 goals a better team but…
