How dare he?
Jack Grealish has, after years of humming and hawing, committed his international future to them across the water.
Grealish has represented Ireland at U21 level and it had briefly seemed as though he would carry on and play for the national side. All of that is out of the question now as Grealish is set to be named in the upcoming England squad.
Twitter reacted to the news with a mix of outrage and pity:
The Grealish news will no doubt bring a considered and reasoned reaction to his situation.

Gonna be funny when Grealish isn't picked for the Euros though

I hope Jack Grealish enjoys his 12 appearances for England, when he could have been capped over 60 times for Ireland, ah well. #avfc
