Did you know they were cousins?
Fifth cousins, once removed, to be exact, and US Vice-President Joe Biden was quick to congratulate his kin Rob Kearney on Ireland’s famous 40-29 victory over the All Blacks in Chicago on Saturday.
It was Ireland’s first ever win over New Zealand in 111 years, and we celebrated it well.
What a week it’s been in the Windy City.
Congrats to cousin @KearneyRob on behalf of the Bidens. @IrishRugby's 1st win over New Zealand in 111 years. History made again in Chicago.

As for the Irish players (and ex-players) themselves, you can just imagine how ‘refreshed’ they got after finally claiming the biggest scalp in world rugby.
Jesus lads, that was some craic!

Brian O’Driscoll chose brevity, and chose it well.
So proud! 🇮🇪

Sonny Bill Williams chose, well, to be an absolute champ of a man.
Congratulations Ireland on making history, it shows that even the best can lose! #18inarow I'm sure the boys will bounce back.
