A legend has stepped away from the game today…

With the news today that Declan O’Sullivan has called time on his inter-county career with Kerry, we’ve decided to take a look back at some of the best and most important scores of his career.

The Kerry forward called time on his career today, citing long-standing injuries as the main reason he has stepped away from the panel at just 30 years of age.

In his career he won five All-Ireland senior football titles with Kerry and captained them to two of those titles.

He will be remembered as one of the finest forwards of the last decade and we could have looked forward to another few years of his wonderful play if it wasn’t for a couple of debilitating injuries.

Throughout his years of service with Kerry, he was a constant thorn in the side of all opposition and scored any number of great goals and points. We have picked just five of these great scores (below), so sit back, break out the popcorn and have a look at oa couple of these gems.

JOE wishes Declan O’Sullivan all the best in retirement and would like to thank him for all the great sporting memories he has given us…
