This is a really emotional watch on today of all days, but it’s also a lovely tribute to Phillip Hughes’ memory.
The sporting world plummeted into shock this morning following news of the death of Phillip Hughes, the 25-year Australian cricketer who passed away overnight having been struck in the head by a fast short-pitched ball on Tuesday during a match for South Australia against New South Wales.
The impact that Hughes’ death has had in Australia in beyond has been evident in the series of tributes to him which have been flooding in all day and there have been few more powerful that one posted on the official Cricket Australia YouTube account a little earlier.
Featuring an archive interview with Hughes as well as never-before-seen footage from his life on the road with the Australian cricket team, it is a hugely moving and emotional but also very heartfelt tribute to his memory.
