A new inter-county season will always see changes in the playing personnel for most teams but JOE and every Limerick supporter will be very sad to see that the iconic John Galvin won’t be wearing the famous green jersey again.
Very few people will forget his stellar performances in the Munster finals of 2009 and 2010 and some supporters of the Treaty County have even heralded the 34-year old as the greatest footballer to play for the county.
The midfielder remains an immensely popular figure in the game and will now focuses solely on his club commitments with Cratloe in Clare.
Former Limerick manager Maurice Horan has compiled this lovely tribute video to his former captain which we enjoyed watching.
