Tempting fate.
As the host nation, France went into last night’s Euro 2016 Final with a clear advantage over Portugal. Not only that, but Portugal had under-performed throughout the tournament and lost their key man just minutes into the match.
Nevertheless, having the victory parade bus already designed, commissioned and made might have been premature on the part of the French FA.
The bus was seen, empty of both people and silverware, heading down a sorry road back from whence it came – teaching us all a very important lesson: don’t buy the party bus before you’ve got something to party about.
