Inter-county players at minor level might well have their whole lives ahead of them, but as long as they’re still in the Championship, one thing takes centre stage.

People often talk, and rightly so, about the sacrifices made by players at senior inter-county level GAA players these days but such is the quality of underage GAA these days that practically the same amount of effort and dedication is required before one makes it to the senior grade.

Players competing in the Electric Ireland GAA Minor Championship are embarking on their adult life, many are about to finish school and start college, they have hopes and dreams and ambitions, but for this one moment in time, the championship is the major thing in their lives, as is reflected in this impressive ad that will hit television screens a little later this week.
