The semi-final between Holland and Argentina wasn’t quite as exciting as the Germany vs Brazil one but JOE can’t complain, not every game ends in 8 goals and an absolute humiliation.
The 90 minutes and extra-time where largely uneventful, apart from one brilliant tackle from Javier Mascherano, but the penalty shoot-out was much more dramatic. Argentina eventually beat Holland 4-2 in the spot-kicks, with goalkeeper Sergio Romero the hero for the Abliceleste saving from Ron Vlaar and Wesley Sneijder.
Argentinian TV have now released footage of Romero reading notes on every Dutch penalty taker before their kick. Where did he keep this vital information? Shoved down his shorts of course. Take a look…
