Things are looking bleak for Villa.
Aston Villa will need a minor miracle to avoid relegation after Remi Garde’s men slumped to a 3-1 defeat to fellow strugglers Sunderland this afternoon.
Garde’s arrival hasn’t seen results improve on the pitch because his side have failed to win any of the nine league matches that he was in charge for and they’re currently rock bottom of the table, 11 points from safety.
Goals from Patrick van Aanholt and a Jermaine Defoe double ensured a 14th league defeat of the season for Villa but the defeat at Sunderland seems like it’s the final straw for some of their supporters.
Northern Echo journalist Richard Easterbrook was outside the Stadium of Light this evening and he captured this footage of the Villa players as they were about to leave the stadium and set foot on the coach.

He wasn’t the only person that was quick to pick up on the sense of frustration and anger from some of Villa’s loyal supporters.
Villa fans serenading their players with "You're not fit to wear the shirt" as they get onto the bus. Turned nasty out there #SAFC #AVFC
