VIDEO: Bohemians release statement as more footage of the crowd trouble at Dalymount emerges

The club are working with the Gardaí to root out those responsible.

Shamrock Rovers recorded a memorable 4-0 win against their fierce Dublin rivals Bohemians at Dalymount Park as goals from Gavin Brennan, Gary McCabe and a brace from Brandon Miele gave the Hoops a long awaited win against the Gypsies.

The emphatic win for Pat Fenlon’s men sees them move to within four points of leaders Dundalk at the top of the table, Rovers also have a game in hand on the champions. While the focus should be placed squarely on the extremely impressive win, fighting between a few idiots has taken some of the attention away from what took place on the pitch.

The RTÉ cameras were at the match to film footage for Soccer Republic and they’ve managed to capture a different angle on the incident.

In the aftermath of this scuffle, Bohemians were quick to release a statement.

“Bohemian FC wishes to express our disappointment with the small minority in attendance who were responsible for causing crowd disturbances which interrupted tonight’s game against Shamrock Rovers at Dalymount Park.

“The club will work closely with stewards and An Garda Síochána to identify the individuals responsible,” said the club.
