After the week he’s had, to be able to speak with such grace and dignity so soon after the Lions game speaks volumes about the man. What a classy operator Brian O’Driscoll is.
Although he was clearly delighted with a Lions victory, it must have been a little bit difficult for Brian O’Driscoll to be in his Lions suit as opposed to out on the pitch in a Lions jersey in Sydney earlier on, but you wouldn’t have known it to listen to his interview with Scott Quinnell on Sky Sports afterwards.
Carrying baby Sadie in his arms and with wife Amy on the verge of tears amongst a group of Lions fans behind him, O’Driscoll showed remarkable class when talking about his delight in victory and how winning the test series overshadowed everything else.
Scott Quinnell didn’t half overdo it though and that little head bump with O’Driscoll at the end was a little bit cringey but let that not take away from O’Driscoll, whose class showed through to the end.
What a man and what a legend.
