Poor old Real Sociedad didn’t exactly get off to the best of starts at Old Trafford tonight. In virtually the first attack of the game, A move down the left flank eventually resulted in the ball coming to the feet of Wayne Rooney.
The striker skipped past a couple of defenders as if they weren’t there before curling a shot past the keeper.
Unfortunately it struck the post. But panicked defender Martinez simply shanked the rebound into his own net.
It will go down as an OG, but it was all down to Rooney.
