Video: Canadian golfer knocks opponent out after argument; is then immediately overcome with remorse

We shouldn’t really laugh at one guy getting knocked to the ground with a very nasty looking punch but the immediate reaction of the guy who put him there is pretty funny.

Canadians are generally regarded as being a polite bunch and while there was nothing polite about the way this argument between two golfers in Elk Point Golf and Country Club in Alberta ended, the perpetrator of the attack redeemed himself ever so slightly with his expression of remorse and regret literally seconds after felling his counterpart with a knockout punch.

We have no idea what the argument was over in the first place, but as Ron Burgundy might say, it escalated quickly when one the parties involved declared: ‘I’m gonna make it right’ to be met with the response: ‘You’re gonna make it right? Well, I’ll make it right,’ before being hit with a punch so fierce that the sound of the impact was picked up on camera a good 30 feet away.

Realising what he had done, the aggressor immediately expressed remorse, saying: ‘F*ck I didn’t wanna do that,’ before holding his head in his hands and apologising profusely to two members at the scene who had come to the stricken man’s aid.

Whether the guy responsible for the punch was expressing regret out of sympathy for his victim or the fact that he knew he’ll probably never play golf on that course again is uncertain but at least he showed some contrition.

Not that it would have been any consolation to the poor fella knocked out on the grass, mind.
