Video: Check out this brilliant hurling-style goal from the KHL ice hockey league
This lad might be a bit of use with a hurl if this goal is anything to go by
When they're not punching the heads off each other or knocking opponents into the boards, a game of ice hockey is an incredibly skillful and exciting sport to watch, and Geoff Platt of Lokomotiv gave a fine display of that earlier this week.
Lokomotiv had been on a fine run where they'd knocked out the top two seeds up until their series of games against Lev in the KHL playoffs, and although they ended up losing this game 3-2 to bring the curtain down on their season, they went out in style.
A bit of juggling on the stick and some impressive hand-eye coordination allowed Platt to slap home an impressive finish, and with his season over, we reckon he should try his hand with a hurl to see could he make the cut for the local club team. There's a GAA club in Yaroslavl, right? Sure that's a fine aul parish...
