VIDEO: Connacht players track down thief who broke into Robbie Henshaw’s car

We guess that Robbie really wasn’t joking when he said that he’d get Bundee Aki after them…

Connacht have been the most exciting team in the Guinness Pro12 this year and there’s a real feeling of optimism around the province going into next week’s semi-finals.

One of the most striking things about Connacht is the sense of togetherness which is evident both on the field and, as this story shows, off it as well.

Last week, Robbie Henshaw’s car was broken into in Galway and he took to Instagram to congratulate the thieves on running away with his economics notes. He followed it up with a line in jest about getting big Bundee Aki to investigate.

That particular post has since been deleted, so instead here’s picture of the Connacht centre which rugby fans may enjoy…

But it seems that Henshaw was serious about getting his centre partner to investigate and in footage obtained by the Sunday World, it reportedly shows a group of Connacht players confronting the alleged thieves.

The grainy footage shot last Tuesday week supposedly shows a group of Connacht players outside the house of the McDonagh family in Galway’s Sli Burca estate. It’s believed that they tracked Robbie Henshaw’s stolen laptop to that location using a find my laptop app.

While the footage is unclear, the paper reports that Gardaí were called to the scene to sort out the incident which looked to have become heated.
