With a level of attention normally reserved for a main event fighter, Conor McGregor was in top form in Boston this evening.
Ostensibly, UFC Fight Night 26 is all about Chael Sonnen and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua but we all know the real reason we can’t wait for the Boston event this Saturday is the chance to see Conor McGregor in action again.
The Dubliner takes on Max Holloway and even though he’s not on the main card, McGregor and his opponent were at today’s pre-fight presser.
Dana White bigged him up, saying: “When I went to Ireland all I heard about was Conor McGregor. I had never heard of him before. This is a big fight and a great fight.”
Even Holloway had positives for McGregor, saying: “He came into the UFC in a big way and deserves all the hype.”
But the quote of the press conference, and one of the quotes of the year, came from ‘Notorious’ himself, who said: “There are two things I really like to do: whoop ass and look good.
