We have all seen the video of Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier losing their cool during a face off before UFC 178 in September, but that wasn’t the only passionate moment on show yesterday.
Conor McGregor faced off his opponent Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier in a typically aggressive manner and while watching the video here in JOE Towers, we felt the hair rise on the back of our necks. In our eyes, McGregor has already has the edge in this matchup with Poirier seeming a tad rattled by the Dubliner.
Afterwards, McGregor did an interview in which he stated he was going to “shut [Poirier] down, and send him home.” The Notorious also said that he hopes Poirier doesn’t pull out of the scheduled bout because he doesn’t think the American really wants to face him.
If this is the excitement surrounding UFC 178 when it is a month away, we can’t wait until September 27, when McGregor takes on Poirier and hopefully moves one step closer to the top of the featherweight division.
