JOE actually got tired of seeing the letter W written next to the name of Real Madrid so we’re happy to see an L lying next to Ancelotti’s men after their recent incredible 23 match unbeaten run came to an end following a defeat to Valencia over the weekend.
The European Champions still lead La Liga but the gap at the top has been narrowed after Los Blanco’s lost 2-1 at the Mestalla.
Minutes after going 2-1 down, the visitors had a glorious chance to equalise when Gareth Bale tore down the right-wing and was bearing down on goal.
Some people might argue that the Welshman was right to take on the shot but we think that Karim Benzema and Ronaldo think otherwise after seeing this footage.
Spanish TV is usually brilliantly over the top in terms of over analysing every small detail in a football match but this footage is quite interesting.
It’s telling that Bale was substituted for Jese moments later and we think Ronaldo’s reaction is quite understated actually.
