Left foot, right foot, it didn’t matter to the Dublin star as he helped send St Vincent’s past Balyboden and into the Dublin SFC final…

When he is in the mood, Diarmuid Connolly is probably the most fantastic finisher in GAA. He has had some superb performances in the blue of Dublin over the years and he put in another vintage display for his club at the weekend.

Connolly was the key reason why St Vincent’s saw off Ballyboden in the Dublin SFC semi-final at Parnell Park on Saturday as he scored 1-6 of his club’s 1-17.

But the bare numbers don’t do justice to the quality of the scores Connolly got. Official Dublin GAA YouTube channel was there to capture the game and the highlights show just how good Connolly was.

He scored some sensational points, off both feet, and his goal wasn’t too shabby either. Our favourite is the dummy he pulls before yet another point, check out 1.12 in the video to see that.

Connolly and St Vincent’s will now play St Oliver Plunkett’s-Eoghan Ruadh in the decider.
