With the Lions first Test just around the corner we couldn’t let our meeting with Leinster’s Luke Fitzgerald at the MLS launch yesterday in Dundrum pass without hitting him with a few questions.
He was happy to oblige and he spoke very well about the exact make up of the Lions team, especially regarding the absence of province mate Sean O’Brien. He also told us what he made of the Aussie team, with particular focus on James O’Connor at 10.
Luke also filled us in on his recovery from injury before he gave us his reaction to Joe Schmidt’s appointment as Ireland coach.
