Some people hate the fans who run beside the cyclists in the Tour de France and one spectator recently decided to take matters into his own hands, by using an outstretched foot…

While running after Tejay Van Garderen from the BMC Racing Team on the Alpe D’Huez climb, one spectator was tripped up after getting a little to close to Van Garderen for another spectator’s liking.

Keep a close eye out for the bloke wearing a dark blue t-shirt on the nearside of the road at the 0:06 mark

The internet seems to be divided when it comes to whether the runner deserved getting tripped up or not. Some are saying he deserved if for getting too close to the cyclist while, others say he was simply enjoying the moment.

Here’s what Tejay Van Garderen had to say: “The crowds – I love the crowds, but every now and then you get one or two guys who get too rowdy out there. But it was an amazing feeling being at the front of the race at the Tour de France on such an iconic climb.”
