VIDEO: Flight of the Conchords star in amusing promo for All-Blacks charity Rugby World Cup song

And not a racist dragon in sight.

We’re trying our best to work up a hatred for all things New Zealand ahead of a seemingly inevitable All-Blacks victory at the Rugby World Cup, but some things remain sacred.

We’ll always love Lord of the Rings, that bizarre accent and we’ll always love the “almost award-winning fourth-most-popular folk duo in New Zealand,” Flight of the Conchords.

Fresh from news that the band will be touring again and possibly even working on a FOTC movie, the pair appeared in a promotional video for a song for Cure Kids, which is the official charity of the All-Blacks and is helping to find a cure for Batten Disease.

Bret and Jemaine came along to help, as did Murray, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson and a few more famous faces and unlike New Zealand’s bid for glory at the World Cup (where they’ll need no help whatsoever), it is something we can all get behind.

For more information on Cure Kids, check out the website here.

Cheers to Paul Ryan for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter
