The finest players have descended on Sheffield to battle it out on the baize, and if you exclude the Peter Ebdon and Graeme Dott snore-fest, then it will make for fascinating viewing.
While they have the edge of anyone in the JOE office, they too can miss-hit the ball from time to time, and sometimes the result can still end up the same.
For anyone out there who is a bit of a hit-and-hope merchant, this video should give you encouragement.
