A very pleasant night in London has turned into a disaster for Liverpool. Leading 3-0 away to Crystal Palace after goals by Joe Allen, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, the hope for the Reds was that they could rattle in a few more and narrow the goal difference advantage held by Manchester City.

Instead, disaster struck as Palace began to battle back. Damien Delaney grabbed the first but with only 11 minutes to go, Brendan Rodgers must have been sure the points were in the bag.

But a quick double by Dwight Gayle pegged the game back to 3-3. Here’s the killer third.

Liverpool are now just a point clear of Manchester City, and City have a game in hand, meaning a draw and a win will probably be enough for City to take the title.
