VIDEO: Hurler in Laois can’t stop laughing when having picture taken for county final match programme

Once you start, you just can't stop

His teammates didn’t exactly help him to be fair.

When a club gets to a county final, it tends to thrust club players under a spotlight that they might not exactly be used to.

Local newspapers and radio stations go looking for interviews from players who have never talked to the media before, while suddenly, they find their picture being taken a lot more than they’re used to.

Clough-Ballocolla took on Camross in the Laois County hurling final at the weekend and beforehand, their players were asked to pose for pen pictures for the match programme.

When you’re asked to do so in front of your team-mates, it’s inevitable that things are going to get a little bit giddy and it was all a bit much for Stephen ‘Pudgy’ Bergin, who, despite his best efforts, just couldn’t keep a straight face.

Clough-Ballocolla ended up coming out on top on Sunday, so no doubt Stephen is laughing as freely now as he was for the photograph.

He’d be absolutely useless in a staring contest, mind.
