Video: Irish maths teacher uses hurling to explain percentages to Canadian students

He's pretty handy with a sliotar too.

Irishman Neil Casey uses his hurling skills to explain percentages to his Canadian students.

JOE’s D in maths in the Inter Junior Cert impressed absolutely nobody, and we like to think we’ve carried that innumeracy into adult life.

It doesn’t stop us enjoying this little tutorial from Clonguish man Neil Casey though.

He runs through the history of the game and the fact that it’s an amateur game played to a professional standard (somewhere Stephen Hunt’s head is shaking) while soloing the ball.

The question he poses at the end will have us scratching our heads for the evening while searching for the old science calculator.
