Well they are BFFs after all…
Jamie Carragher didn’t hold back on his criticism of Liverpool after their dismal defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday. He bemoaned a lack of leaders and fight from his old team, but one player escaped stinging criticism.
That man of course being Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard and Carragher are good friends and on Monday Night Football the question was put to Carragher whether Gerrard was proving to be a problem for Rodgers.
Reading between the lines, what Ed Chamberlain seemed to be suggesting was should Gerrard be dropped.
Carragher took the question and avoided it perfectly.

If Liverpool could defend as well as Carragher defends Gerrard, they’d be in a better position than they are right now.
