Louis Van Gaal arrived at Old Trafford with a reputation as being a manager that prefers a no-nonsense approach and it seems that after a bumpy first-half of last season, the United players are reaping the benefits of his methods.
It didn’t take a cartoon detective though to see that United’s squad was in need of an overhaul during the transfer window and Van Gaal, along with his partner in crime Ed Woodward, have been ruthless in strengthening and identifying United’s weaknesses.
The Dutchman has already shown that he sees no room for Victor Valdes or Robin Van Persie in his squad while Anderson and Chicharito have previously felt the axe, the Mexican was shipped out on loan last season and faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford.
